The House I live in

If I would have the opportunity to make the film “The House I Live In” then definitely I would also follow the same steps and process. The story of this film is not a fake but all the character and events in this movie are based on reality. So, first of all, to have inspiration to make a movie like this is very vital and EugeneJarecki’s inspiration was his Nannie. He often says in his interview it was the life of my Nannie because of which I was able to research more and more about drugs and the people affected by it. So he really worked hard, because to get a complete background of the story is most important. The way Director Eugene Jarecki conducted interviews with families who were suffering from this cycle of drug and criminal justice system and then the way he got information from wardens, judges, medical experts and scientist is just up to the mark. All the struggle he went through is what made his film so mesmerizing and amazing.

Like director Eugene Jarecki, I would also not just sit back with this. I would go to some people who are directly affected by the war of drugs and would hear their stories how they get into this and did they ever try to get over it? The answer of all such questions is very important to get a complete knowledge about the feelings and struggle they go through. I would also go to some rehabilitation center to find out if they are doing something positive to eradicate this evil from our society.

“The Invention of Wings”

Author of the novel, “The Invention of Wings” belongs to pre-feminist American family. So in his novels, he basically writes about the females and their lives. There are many characters in this Novel who are really sympathetic. But the character whom I identified most is Sarah Grimke, who is basically a real-life character. Just like her, my personality is also very friendly and I love to guide and teach others, but unfortunately my life is enormously limited despite having every facility in home. I belong to such family in which women are supposed to be suppressed and people have cultural expectations from them. Like her I also have dreams to fly with the wings to enjoy the life but initially we are suffering because in this American society women are believed to be the slave of husband or father. They don’t have any desires or feelings of their own. There is a scene in the novel when Sarah is crying for father who is dying at shore and was walking alone on the waves of water felling so isolated. There was another scene in this novel where author showed Sarah talking to her inner voice who is insisting her to go to North. Such voices go on and on in her mind but wasn’t able to speak up loud what she was thinking even in her house where she born and grown up. These lines show that she knows very well about her worth in her house.

#Paper Reflection

Writing is no doubt an interesting task but to write for my Writing 100 paper was not a piece of cake. I was always loved and appreciated by my professors in my high school and grad school. I was popular for writing many interesting stories and essays. But still I had to make efforts to prove myself in this field because that was a new job for me. For this I researched a lot to get the full knowledge of my papers and also collected all the required data. Many times my mind got stuck and was blank, I thought I wouldn’t be able to do anything and will lose in the end. Negativity spread all the way, but then one of my best friends called me up and motivated me. He made me know that I have the abilities to do anything, only I should be determined and ambitious about it. So I again made up my mind, gathered all the stamina again and started writing my papers with lots of energy.
Last Sunday night, I sat down and hold my laptop, collected all the documents and was ready to go.But the best thing is that, at last I was able to accomplish my task. The job was really very hard but not impossible to do. But after this experience now I have confidence on me that I can write anything and I know I can do better than this in my future as well.

My education

My education

I was the first child to my parents and It was so hard for them to lead me to get the right way to complete my education also they encouraged me a lot they are doing their best to be what they dreams. My mother chose a schools that have the Elementary school, middle school and the high school in a same area. Here I attached a two pictures that you can imagine how I came here from Saudi Arabia to  finished my education in United State of America.

Here actually is The elementary School, you can take a look how we  stayed  in a line doing        some exercises every morning also,  We  all dress the same except International student they         dress as what they want. We were start morning at 7:00am until 2:00pm but there is a time for breakfast and for lunch. I know it's really amazing when you watch a different school a different culture and learn more.

When I graduate from high school I worked with a company for a little then I start to complete my education. I chose United stats because I am going to study a major that we don't have in back home.
The first year in USA was the worst year I have ever been. In that time I can't say what I need. In that time  I was going to the English school walking every day however, It was 30 minutes away and the weather is freezing the snow was a hindrance to my way to school.

There was no buss no transportation near by and it was a difficult time doing everything by my self with no idea with no friends. When I have done from the english school I've transfer to cedar crest college to have my education done. My cousin Saleh told about this school. I don't really like this place as much as he said it's a small town I just like the area because
it's really close to NY, DC.    However it's really an experience for me to go to a college then University It made my life education
easer more than i thought. I decided to change my major to be Safety Management and that major will be in a different school so I will transfer to University to achieve and complete my education and let my parents proud of their son in the future.
